Zaragoza celebrates Europe Day
Last 12th May Madre María Rosa Molas School prepared several acts in commemoration of the Day of European Union.
Students from 3 to 18 took part in the numerous activities that were celebrated in the morning. Children and teenagers showed flags of all the member states of the European Union while they shouted “Hooray Europe” in each one of the different languages.
Several symbols of the European Union were represented: the European Union flag, the blue colour and the twelve golden stars -symbol of perfection, completeness and unity and the European anthem, the melody that comes from the Ninth Symphony by Beethoven.
Along the celebration there were young people who sang, danced and played several instruments. The happiness and the amusement reigned and the motto of the European Union “United in diversity” was alive among students and teachers.
“It has been very exciting to see how we are joined without forgetting our own culture and values” said a Secondary pupil.
The Rosa Molas School pretended to honour the European Union, remembering to the pupils its importance and its achievements got during all these years. It was a day of union and harmony. It was a really good day.
