DISCOVERING EUROPE

DISCOVERING EUROPE

Madre María Rosa Molas school in Zaragoza celebrated Europe Day on Tuesday 12th May with a lot of activities and very interesting games for all the students.
The Europe Day was celebrated in Rosa Molas school on the 12th of May.
Last week, all the pupils from 3 to 12 years old, learned new things about different countries. Some grown-up students have helped and taught them for a week. They learned a lot of things about the country: some words in their language, food, colours of the flag, etc.Everybody was doing something. While some pupils were helping children, other were rehearsing songs and a few were drawing a big Europe map.
In spite of the high temperatures, people had a really good time. Each group carried a small flag of their country. Some pupils had their faces painted too. Some children of each group shouted "Hurray Europe" in the language of their “adopted” country, and stack the shape of their country on the totally gorgeous map of Europe.
Other students danced and sang some absolutely fascinating songs so everyone played their part.
Some students finished the day having a snack with typical food of each country.
They left the school with a lot of new knowledge about the European Union and their “adopted” country and they showed everything to their parents. Even though it was the first time that the school celebrated this event, it was absolutely brilliant. Everybody was happy. We hope we can celebrate it.
